"We grew up here, raised our children here, and now our granddaughters are growing up here. We choose to support Mad for Plaid because we value the best that HPISD provides to our community- the best faculty, staff, and future for our children and grandchildren."  - Donna and Andy Small, '61

Mad for Plaid

Every student, every teacher, every school

Mad for Plaid is the Education Foundation’s annual campaign, which raises public support for HPISD's critical budget needs. Currently, that critical need is raising the bar for teacher and staff salaries districtwide. This 2022-2023 school year, we have committed a $1.7 million gift to HPISD for districtwide salaries that will contribute 1% of a total 5% raise for all educators. We cannot meet that commitment without our community's continued investment!
